The town I live in is hosting the Vietnam Moving Wall in June, and there's a fundraiser event coming up this weekend. I volunteered to donate a raffle/auction prize, and I planned on making something patriotic, most likely one of our Victorian Houses at SVGCuts.
This AMAZING project by Anne Kieder immediately came to mind, which is on our Patriotic Pinterest Board.
She added another story to Mistletoe Manor and decked it out big time with a patriotic theme. So completely crazy right!?!
I thought it would be fun to give Maple Manor a patriotic theme, so that's what I did! Just finished!
I used the new Sweet Freedom paper collection by Pink Paislee. Love it!
I added some cute little patriotic banners and trim on the porch, which you can download here if you'd like. π
I embossed the upper siding using the Stripes embossing folder by Darice.Β The roof panels were embossed using the Layered Scallops embossing folder by Echo Park.
I put some battery-powered LED lights inside as well as a battery-powered red LED light in the tower, which is its own separate "secret" compartment.
It was really fun for me to make this project! It's been almost four years since I first designed Maple Manor and made it! I've never made a big project as a prize like this, so I hope whoever wins it loves it!
Hope you enjoyed the photos and inspiration! It would make a nice home decor project for Summertime, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day (for those of us in the US)!
Facebook Fan and Crafty Friend Maggi Miller also made a Patriotic version of Maple Manor!
Love the festive paper and cute banner! Thanks for sharing a pic, Maggi! π
