I'm so stoked about this page!  I've been seeing potted hydrangeas for sale this week at my local Whole Foods and am enchanted by the big pom-pom clusters of pink blossoms.  I worked with our Moonlight Garden Party SVG Collection and scrapped this adorable photo of Leo's mom with her new Grandbaby from this Easter.  Don't you just love the little smirk?  I didn't know someone could have so much personality at only three months old!  Grandma always makes Cutie Patootie smile and they already have a very special relationship, it's so heartwarming to see!

All paper is from the DCWV Garden Party Stack, except for the top layer of each hydrangea, which is cut from light pink AC Cardstock.

Design Tips

  • Using paper from one stack, pad or collection will really help put your project together, since it already coordinates.  I love this DCWV Garden Party Stack and had fun working with it.
  • I inked the edges of every single piece in brown.  This takes a few extra minutes, and it can be tempting to skip this step, but it’s worth doing.  It really ties everything together and adds that hip factor.
  • As you can see, I popped out a lot of the elements (using 3D Zots), such as the entire border/background image, the "sweet" stamped frame, the hydrangeas, and under the top of the poppy.
  • The "sweet" doodly element is a rubber stamp by American Crafts - part of the Dear Lizzy Collection (which I LOVE by the way)!!  I poked a glittery blue Making Memories brad into this as well, which matches my color scheme perfectly.  The pretty crochet style ribbon tied around the frame is also by American Crafts from the Dear Lizzy Collection.

Thanks for checking out my project!  I hope you like it and it brings you inspiration.  Happy Crafting!  ~Mary  🙂
