Flower Pom

Add elegance to any occasion with beautiful flower poms.  These delightful decorations, delicately dangling from the ceiling, will enchant your guests as they arrive.

Supplies

• White Cardstock
• Embosser (optional) I used the Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy Folder
• Paper Glue
• Hot glue
• ½” Wired white ribbon
• 4 pieces of typing paper or a 3”white Styrofoam ball
• Pencil (to curl your ribbon)

Instructions

1. Cut all SVG flower petals
2. Emboss all the large petals (leave the small petals plain)
3. Curl all flower petals, to add dimension
4. Assemble your flower petals.  You will have 3 large petals and 3 small petals for each flower (to assemble glue each layer together, Lay your flower on a mouse pad and press the center with any tool that has a rounded end.  (Pushing the center of the flower will give it more shape
5. Set your 13 assembled flowers aside.
6. Ball up your 4 pieces of typing paper and hot glue together to form a 3” ball.  (You can use a Styrofoam ball if you prefer.  I like the paper because any spots that the flowers don’t cover will not show, as it is the same material as the flower)
7. Cut a 30” piece of ribbon, fold it in half, knot the other end.  (Push it ½ way into the center of the ball, to secure it)
8. Hot glue knotted end of ribbon into center of ball
9. Begin hot gluing your flowers onto the ball, start with 3 to 4 at the top and work your way down, covering the entire ball in flowers.
10. Tie a bow near the top of the ball, around your ribbon hanger.
11. Curl dangling ribbon with your pencil to form pin curls
12. If you would like a larger flower pom, increase the size of your ball and the number of flowers you cut.

1. Cut all SVG files (you should be able to cut all pieces from one 12” x 12” piece of card stock, depending on how you lay it out in SCAL)
2. Emboss: 9_bot.svg  (Medium sized butterfly), Lable_large.svg (large rectangular shape), Scalloped_circle.svg, Letter for front of box
3. Assemble box
4. Glue on rectangular pieces
5. Glue embossed scalloped circle onto the top left corner of your box
6. Glue the plain circle on top of the embossed scalloped circle
7. Glue small butterfly onto medium butterfly (only glue the center of the body, to keep it 3D)
8. Glue the butterfly onto the center of the circle pieces. (Only put glue the center of the butterfly to keep it 3D)  Pinch it with your fingers to give it a fluttery look.
9. Glue your letter in the right lower section of your box.
