I just had to see how our Hanging Geometric Heart project would look in GREEN with a pretty gold claddagh heart design on the front. I love it!
Not only would it make a lovely treat for someone come March, but who wouldn't love it as part of some St. Patrick's Day decor. For something so special-looking, it's hard to believe how quickly I just made it. Here's how I did mine!
Supplies
1 12x12 sheet of textured Emerald AC card stock
5x6" piece of metallic gold paper
12" gold ball chain
two short scraps of ribbon to secure chain inside project
dimensional adhesive, such as 3D Foam Squares
Claddagh Heart design from the Extras folder of the Lucky Day Bags and Boxes SVG Kit
Hanging Geometric Heart design
Equipment
A cutting machine and software combination that allows you to cut SVG files, such as:
- Cricut Explore Air or Cricut Maker machine with free online Cricut Design Space software
- Sizzix eclips2 machine with eCal software
- Silhouette Cameo machine with Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software
- Etc.
Steps
- Cut out the hanging_geo_heart.svg file at its default size, which is 11.4 x 11.4"
- Cut out the claddagh.svg design at 3.75" wide
- Assemble the Hanging Geometric Heart according to our step-by-step instructions on YouTube (this project starts at 31:55):
- Layer the three parts of the claddagh.svg design using dimensional adhesive, such as 3D Foam Squares
- Affix to the heart with more dimensional adhesive
- Secure both ends of gold ball chain inside project by tying a short piece of scrap ribbon in a double-knot around each end of chain
Boom! So quick and easy! I think this honestly took me about 20 minutes, if that.
