Hey there crafty friends! 🙂
I've got some vintage-style Saint Patrick's Day paper that's been burning a hole in my paper storage shelves. It's the Emerald collection by Authentique, and I had pre-ordered it from A Cherry On Top. I don't always see new Saint Patrick's Day themed paper released every year, so it was a fun find! Before I get started on the Easter/Spring ideas that I've been sketching, I wanted to have some crafty fun and make a couple of cards. So, I decided to see how the paper would look using some existing card designs from our shop right here at SVGCuts.
Totally loving how they came out!!
Six-Pack Box Card
First of all, I made the Six-Pack Box Card from the Sunday with Dad SVG Kit. Super cute, right?
Sunday with Dad SVG KitFor the bottles, I used chocolate shimmer paper from Michaels (Recollections brand) which comes in packs of five. The stamp is from the Happy Messages Stamp Set by Stampendous. The cute clover is from our Celtic Knots and Clovers SVG Collection. The little sticker is part of the Authentique Emerald Collection (just like the patterned paper). As always, I also did a lot of inking on each shape before gluing them together. I used various shades of green and dark brown.
The cool thing about box cards is that they look so dimensional, yet they fold flat to go inside their envelope. So it makes for an easy-peasy "wow-factor" little project. 🙂 I love designing and making box cards, so we have quite a few in the store: Box Cards at SVGCuts
Valentine Doily Card
Next, I made the intricate doily card from our Love Struck SVG Kit. It's lovely having all that detail in your project, and yet, your cutting machine does all the work.
Love Struck SVG KitI had a lot of fun picking out which patterned papers to feature. I love this because it reminds me of really lovely, detailed Irish porcelain and china that I've seen at antique stores. So I think if I received a card like this, I'd love having it out for a bit of cheerful seasonal decor. 🙂
The layered design looks really neat up close, and the light green inking inside the ivory heart cut-out adds a nice touch, I think!
Harvest Asters Card
Last but not least, I made this card from our Harvest Mail SVG Kit.
Harvest Mail SVG KitIn true box-card-style, it folds flat to go inside its envelope, yet stands up looking dimensional. 🙂 It's crazy quick n' easy to put together, and really fun to pick out what to put in the centers of the flowers. I used green glitter dots by Queen & Co. The patterned paper and sticker is also from Emerald by Authentique.
Also, the back has a neat cut-out for featuring a message or stamp.
I used a new embossing folder called Sia's Scenery from Ultimate Crafts. The stamp is also from the Happy Messages Stamp Set by Stampendous.
What's Next?!
Well.. I'm off to continue with my Easter/Spring ideas!! I have more ideas than I'll be able to design and create, so it'll be tough yet fun to decide what I'm doing to do! It sure was fun chatting live with a lot of you on Facebook last week! It helped me decide what to work on next. I thought it might be too early for Easter/Spring projects, but a lot of you said it's not too early at all. Woop woop! Bring on the bunnies and colored eggs!
Thanks for reading!
Have an awesome day!
