Instructions

  1. First choose photos and sketch to follow (if you want).
  2. Using cutting software, pick the elements you want to use on your layout. Increase in size or shrink the imported file according to what you are looking for. There is really no rule of thumb here. I use the Tim Holtz's ruler to help me decide how big I wanted my elements to be.
  3. Using a magnetic board, design your layout holding all the pieces together with magnets until you have reached your desired goal.
  4. With a pencil, lightly mark where each item's place before removing. I like to remove in the order the elements must be placed, especially with layered items.
  5. Assemble. Use pop dots for dimension on top layer elements. Use Glossy Accents for wooden embellishments.
  6. Final step is to use piercing tool at desired location for brads. This is usually the last thing I add to a layout.

Design Tips

  • Follow a sketch. This will help you move along much faster when making a layout.
  • Put together a scrapbook "kit" ahead of time. Make your elements using SVG Cuts during this time as well. Coordinate embellishments from your stash and put them all together. Your layout will come together very quickly.
  • Remember, there are no real "rules" in scrapbooking. I personally love mixing die cuts with stickers, stitching and doodling.

Thank you for viewing. I hope you have been truly inspired. Thank you to SVG Cuts for this opportunity as well.
