Here’s a great way to let the teacher know how much you appreciate and like him or her. Treat the teacher to a bushel basket of sweet sentiments! You can even put a real apple inside! Fun fact: Why is it traditional to give a teacher an apple? It originated a long time ago when families would help support teachers by giving them fresh fruit. Apples are easy to keep as other fruits perish quickly. It is also a symbol of knowledge and health! I added the butterfly to symbolize soaring to great heights, achieving your goals, plus it’s just so darn cute!

Instructions
- Die-cut bushel basket pieces from card stock and assemble with paper glue (refer to Mary’s Caramel Apple Pie SVG Kit video for full instructions, if needed)
- Die-cut all other pieces from card stock, assemble and chalk edges
- Accent assembled pieces with glitter gel pen and opaque white gel pen
- Use glue gun to glue green glitter ribbon to top of basket (leave a 4”section to adhere the large apple and tag)
- Write caption “You’re the apple of my eye! xoxo ” on tag using opaque white gel pen and tie on with ribbon
- Using Glue gun, glue assembled, butterfly and A+ on to tops of pencils
- Fill basket with raffia and strawberry’s
- Stick pencils into back of basket
