I designed and made this banner this past weekend for my husband's 40th birthday! We had a big party with loads of family, friends, good food and some awesome entertainment. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

His favorite color is blue, so I thought this color scheme would be perfect. I like how it really \"pops\" against the dark wood on our mantle.<\/p>\n

I popped each letter out using some awesome little 3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives<\/a>. The small ones in the package I have were the perfect size!<\/p>\n

I also hung a banner\u00a0outside off the edge of our pergola\u00a0and it looked really cool at night because of the cutouts around the letters. You can see the light shining through the banner in the photo above! I likey!<\/p>\n

I like this because it's very festive but still plain enough to be a masculine project for a guy. Also, the pennants get longer towards the middle of the banner for a nice effect.<\/p>\n

I put some of my favorite pictures of us in this photo board from Hobby Lobby<\/a> as decor for our wedding a few weeks ago. I think it's super cute on the mantle with the banner and the star theme. I use these same stars for other birthdays and New Year's - very handy! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Tony built this gorgeous mantle by hand from scratch - he does really beautiful work!\u00a0We love decorating it for the seasons. Starting to look forward to the holidays!!<\/p>\n
