SVG Files, Paper Suggestions, and Coupon Info
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. This sweet little mailbox was such a joy to put together—and whether you’re brand-new to paper crafting or have a well-loved cutting machine by your side, I’d love to help you make one too.

I’ve had so many kind messages and comments about it already, so I put together this page with everything you’ll need to get started. Below, you’ll find a list of the SVG files I used (including a free one!), links to each, and details on the coupon code you can use if you’d like to pick them up.
I’ll be sharing step-by-step assembly guidance soon, but in the meantime, feel free to start gathering supplies, cutting your pieces, or thinking up your own version. I can’t wait to see what you create.
SVG File Requirements
To make the Honey Lane Mailbox just like mine, you'll need a handful of SVG designs from my site—mostly little decorative elements that come from larger Collections. I’ve linked each one below so you can grab exactly what you need.

Not sure if you already own the SVG files? Here's how to check >>

Paper Requirements
Patterned Paper
Choose your patterned paper first, that way, you can select solid-color cardstock paper that coordinates. We'll use patterned paper on the lid and on the back of the mailbox. Here's what I used on mine:
- light pink gingham (for the lid panels)
- khaki floral (for the back panel)
Solid Cardstock
I suggest using textured, solid-core cardstock that's about "80#," which is a measure of its thickness. I've linked to exactly what I recommend from 12x12Cardstock.shop:
Code SVGCUTS takes 10% off at 12x12Cardstock.shop.

Bonus Supplies Used
I also used these supplies to enhance the project.
- Color Petal Ink Pads - applied to edges of most shapes to add dimension and distress
- a white gel pen - a small dot in the robin's eye looks lifelike, as a highlight
- small adhesive foam squares - affix the elements with dimension
- a basketweave embossing folder (machine required) - adds texture to the bird's wing
How to Assemble It
The Honey Lane Mailbox uses the exact same Mail Box design available in my store. It’s assembled the same way—just styled more simply, without the decorative flourishes shown on the front of the original Valentine version.
Create the Mailbox Base
You can follow along with my original step-by-step Mailbox Assembly Tutorial.
Here are the specific steps demonstrated:
Step 1: affix the lid panels
Step 2: make the mailbox body
Step 3: finish the bottom, create and attach the lid
Add the Decorative Elements
Once your mailbox base is assembled, simply refer to the photo above to affix the decorative elements like the floral panel, bird, and word art. You can use foam adhesive for extra dimension, or keep things flat—whatever suits your style.
