Instructions

Umbrella

  1. Open up cap1.svg from the baseball cap in the Fun and Games SVG Kit. Ungroup the pieces. You will only require one panel of the baseball cap, delete the rest. Delete the little circle cut out. Highlight the cap panel layer and using the node editing tool, add a node to the middle of the bottom line of the cap layer. Drag the node up (approximately ½ inch) creating an arch along the bottom of the cut out. Another way to do this is, is to create a circle and overlap it along the bottom edge of the layer, then subtract the circle from the panel.
  2. Regroup the layer with the cut lines. Resize as indicated above.
  3. Copy and paste the edited cap layer for a total of 6 layers.
  4. Glue pieces together.
  5. Insert the paper straw through the top opening, leaving ½ inch of the straw visible above the umbrella.
  6. Use hot glue on the inside of the umbrella to secure straw in place.
  7. Open raindrop.svg, resize and cut out pieces.
  8. Sandwich the fishing line between two raindrops, glue together.
  9. Attach the fishing line (cut to different lengths) along the inside of the umbrella using hot glue.
  10. Place random raindrops around the umbrella top.
  11. Open the clouds.svg. Resize. Ungroup and delete smallest cloud. Cut out larger two (I used Print n Cut to create the sentiment, using font called Jenna Sue) Glue both layers together. Attach cloud to the top of umbrella (paper straw) using hot glue.
  12. Open, resize, and cut out flowers from the Love Always SVG Kit and the flowers and leaves from Mom's Garden Gifts SVG Kit. Assemble and attach flowers to top of umbrella using hot glue. Embellish as desired.
  13. Insert (umbrella) straw, straight down into the center of the cupcake.

Cupcake Wrapper

  1. Open the Fenced Grass wrapper svg layers. Resize. (I resized mine as I used a larger cupcake, no resizing required for regular sized cupcakes)
  2. Cut out layers, glue together and assemble.
  3. Attach flowers and embellishments to the front.
