Instructions

Card

  1. Cut out card pieces to size indicated above.
  2. If using Print n Cut for your sentiments, first print banner.svg and interior.svg with your own wording and font, then Cut. (Skip this step if using stamps)
  3. Emboss the background and umbrella.
  4. Ink edges of flowers, banner and umbrella.
  5. Assemble and glue flowers and umbrella top.
  6. For the Bride’s dress, cut a piece of tulle and gather the material with a ribbon around the waist line. Use hot glue to hold ribbon together. Trim the tulle to the outline of the dress. Glue dress to the silhouette of the Bride. Attach arm.
  7. For the Bride’s veil, cut out a small square piece of tulle. Gather tulle at the top. Tie the gathered material with piece of white string. Hot glue the veil up to the string behind the silhouette’s head. Trim and shape tulle creating veil.
  8. To create the umbrella arm, use a piece of wire and make a hook by bending the end of the wire. Measure the length from the middle of umbrella to the bride’s hand. Then cut wire. Using hot glue, attach the wire to the back of umbrella.
  9. Assemble and adhere elements to the base of the card.

Tag

  1. Open frame.svg, size as indicated above.
  2. Create an offset of the frame and delete the inside oval.
  3. Using the offset you created above, create an internal offset. This piece will be where you can write your message on the back of the tag.
  4. Cut out remaining pieces of tag.
  5. Attach veil to Bride’s head as above.
  6. Assemble and embellish as desired.

Design Tips

Ilda Dias - SVGCuts Guest Designer

  • Let your gift wrap inspire the colors you choose to create your card and tag. I used a tiny piece of the gift wrap paper in the tag I made coordinate with my gift.
  • If you know the wedding color scheme, let those colors inspire you. Hint: Usually the invitation is a huge indicator of colors you will see on the wedding day!
  • If using Print n Cut, you may chose to personalize the card even more. Add the Bride's future name and personalize the inside greeting!

Sprinkle some of your own love and creativity the next time you attend a bridal shower. Those special creations will be the ones the Bride will remember and treasure. Possibly even keep as reminders of their special day!
