After making the recipe box Mary created in the Christmas Open House SVG Kit, I envisioned a recipe holder to display our recipes as we cook. Can you just imagine this in Fall or Christmas papers? And it would be a great gift!

Supplies Used

• Graphic 45 French Country 12 X 12 Pad & Matching Embellishments
• As You Wish Designs – Digital 4 X 6 Recipe Cards (Set 3)
• Cardstock or Kraft Paper
• Pop Dots
• Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
• Distress Ink Pad – Light Antique

Instructions

1. Open and cut base.svg cut and assemble.
2. Open, cut and assemble base1.svg and base 2.svg. Glue the lamp stand onto the middle of the base. Hold while it dries. Note: I did not use the lamp base top or bottom piece.
3. Open card_base1.svg, cut 4 and glue together making sure to keep the edges precise and even as it will very visible. I used kraft paper to cut 3 and then cut 1 from my decorative paper which will be placed on top.
4. Open and cut card_base2.svg and assemble using Mary’s tutorial video if needed. Glue the easel card to the top of the stand. The next step is a matter of preference. The front of the card will be loose. You will need to decide the angle you wish to view the recipe card. Once that is decided put a thin layer of glue on the bottom flap and glue and hold in place until it dries. Use the glue very sparingly.
5. Open and cut flatware.svg and place it in the bottom left corner. I glued mine at the bottom and middle and let the tops have a 3D look.

Design Tips

1. I usually go over the edges of my finished design with a distress ink pad. If you cannot get ink on the tight places I use a latex glove and rub the ink and then on my project. Many papers have white cores and the cutting lines will show.
2. If you are ever gluing multiple pieces stacked on each other keep rotating and don’t glue the same way every time. You won’t notice at first but mine always slant a little if I don’t do this, not good!
