Who doesn't want a bit of the Irish luck? I, for one, love St. Patrick's Day! Love the whole pot of gold at the end of the rainbow thing. When this set was released I wanted to make a card and here is what I came up with!

rectangle (for sentiment) | 4.25 x 1.5 | Black |
rectangle (for sentiment) | 4.25x 1.25 | Craft Cardstock |
rectangle (card base) | 8.5 x 5.5 | Craft Cardstock |
rectangle (card base layer) | 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 | Black |
rectangle (embosss with cuttlebug) | 5.25 x 4 | Green |
Instructions
- Cut all pieces in colors listed and assemble image. Emboss background layer. Add any doodling or extras if desired. Inking edges and texture can make the difference between a good project and a great project.
- Fold card base. Run green layer through cuttlebug with folder of your choice. Attach layers of cardstock to card base. Stamp sentiment on paper strip. Attach to front of card
Design Tips
- I used a wobble from actionwobble.com under the pot of gold image. You can use a simple pop dot if you don't have those. I would check them out though, cause they make you little image wobble and it is really cute on a card or project.
- Use extras, like gel pens, textures, embellishments, etc.
- Use vivid color papers.
- Make sure paper layers are straight. Nothing worse than crooked sides and corners!
Can't wait for St. Patty's Day! We do the festival every year. This year I am going to make lots of little pins with this image and hand out to friends. Thinking outside the box...doesn't just need to be a card. Give this a shot though, anyone would love to get a card like this in the mail. Let your personality show through.
