Mary's Corner - Whimsical Spring Cards

I just picked up some fresh, adorable Spring paper by American Crafts - the Dear Lizzy Line.  Such pretty color combinations and graphics!  I picked out my favorite four sheets and here's what I did with them!  The ribbons, stamps and most of the brads are also from the same line.  These came out so darn cute, I can't stand it!  Better yet, you only need two SVG Collections to make all three cards!

Dimensions

Here are the exact shapes, sizes and colors I used.  Use the Keep Proportions option to keep the shapes’ proportions while sizing each to the width given below.

Sitting Bunnies Card

"One of these things is not like the other.."  The bunnies look adorable together and the one tan bunny makes it more interesting and cute than if they were all white.  I used pop dots (3D Zots) underneath each bunny to add dimension and the contrast of the dark brown paper below them is perfect.  I rubbed a brown ink pad around the edges of each bunny and the card base, which is such pretty "musical" paper.  The brad is a Making Memories brad (Bright 30804) and the tiny bling is by Stampendous and is just a flat sticker.  I ran the dark brown shape through my Cuttlebug in the Argyle folder.  Finally, the ribbon is from the Dear Lizzy line by American Crafts.  The envelope for this one is neat and has a fun scalloped flap to match the card front.

Jumping Bunny Card

Although this card background is "simple," I love showing off coordinating papers with it. It's perfect for showcasing a single element, like this jumping bunny (which would also make an adorable baby-themed card). I ran the bunny through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder and then rubbed a brown ink pad around its edges. I also ran the coral colored shape through with the Argyle folder. The rest of the patterned papers and the large brad are Dear Lizzy and the two smaller brads are Making Memories.

Celebrate Sunshine Card

Finally, my favorite card, this super festive and cheerful card features stamps from the Dear Lizzy line as well as paper and ribbons. I just love it! I rubbed brown ink around the edges of the shapes and used pop dots (3D Zots) underneath each pennant stringing the thin pink ribbon through the holes. The peach colored ribbon wraps around each side of the rectangle shape and is trimmed an inch wider on each side than the rectangle and then wrapped over and secured with tape. The bling is American Crafts, Making Memories and Stampendous and the striped pennant paper is Making Memories.
